Description

I have various items that I trying to do  research on to value them. Can anyone lead  in the right me in the right direction? The painting I know is by P Detlesfen and the leopard muff purse, I think is from the 30's or 40's

Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Chairs, picture, purse

Well your small table,  dates Circa 1840, it's a " Country Sheraton" style piece, the chairs date from the second quarter of the 20th Century. The table at auction would sell about $150.00, for the chairs $50.00 each.

Thanks, for the information, lovejoy. Could you recommend a book for a "newbie" to read that would help in researching and valuing items?
