Not sure if you have your information on this piece or not yet but, we had this exact piece made by Sprague & Carleton along with the matching table. We have other pieces by them as well. They were purchased in the 1950s by my grandparents.
It is what they called Hard Rock Maple and is very well-made furniture. The buffet/hutch that goes with my table went to another side of the family after my Grandmother's passing. (grrrrrr). I would be interested in your piece if you ever wanted to sell.
