It is a tusk of some sort, not sure from what type of animal. It has very detailed Chinese type characters and art carved on 90% of it.
I was wondering if anyone knows how to test to see if it is real Ivory or not.
Its 19" long & weighs 3.2 lbs. It is 8" round at the big end. Its also painted with great detail. It has a signature written in chinese on the end of it. It is buffed out to be very smooth and shiny.
It has 7 characters on one side & 8 on the other. They are all dressed up in robes with writing and symbols on there clothing. They all seemed to be playing some type of instruments in there hands. There are dragons carved in it at the ends on both sides.
Excellent
