Description
This is a very old painting, litho, or print not really sure, by J L Prevost. Looked him up and lived from 1700's - 1810. Online his works go from $1,000 for lithos to 7,500.00 fro originals. If anyone can help with this I'd appreciate it. SHOULD I TAKE THE BACKING OFF CAREFULLY TO SEE WHAT'S UNDERNEATH THE MATTE? Any ideas?

It's most likely a 20th century print, look at it under an magnifying glass and see if the image is made of small dots. If it's series of small dots it's a photolithograph.
