Koken Barber chair

By Barber Greg, 24 May, 2010
Description

I bought it from a couple that had died and left it to a friend. I paid 500.00 for it. I'm a Barber and its a fine example of a old Koken. Very fancy foot rest and all original including the headrest exept for some nickel plating around the white porcelin base its in excellent condition. Everthing works... They just don't make them like that anymore.

Re: Koken Barber chair

In the current market what you paid is about what they go for unrestored. Values for these old barber chairs peaked in the early 1990's and have pretty much flatlined or declined since then.
