Long Description

40" (h) Ă— 50" (l) textured oil painting signed by Jasper. Canvas is blue in color has two flower vases, one on the right and one on the left. The one on the left is black and pink and has white and pink flowers coming out of it. This vase is on a stand that is also painted with flowers. There is an open fan with Asian writing (I'm not sure what kind: Japanese, Chinese or some kind of Asian writing on the corner of fan). The fan is pink and white and has what appears to be brown bamboo branches and leaves on it. The vase on the right has pink flowers painted on it. It's a white vase with a lid/top. The Geisha in the center of the painting is wearing a black kimono with pink accents and holding an open white fan with red flowers. The Geisha appears to be a statue that stands between the two vases. She also appears to be in the middle of a Dance Movement. All of these items the two bases and the Geisha statue as well as the fan are painted to be sitting on top of a table. There are also 14 gold horizontal lines starting at the top of the painting going about a quarter of the way down from the top.

History
I bought this painting at an estate sale years ago and I am curious about its origin and history.
