Description
Hi there, we have a set of four Porcelain Wall Panels reportedly by Liu Yucen (That is what we were told, but we don't know what you'd need to check to confirm), in the Famille Rose style. They are in carved rosewood panels with metal hangers.
Liu Yucen’s artistic career…
Liu Yucen’s artistic career spanned from the late 1920s through the 1940s, with his most refined four-panel rosewood porcelain works emerging in the 1930s. He began painting porcelain plaques in his early twenties, with signed and dated works appearing as early as 1929. By 1934, he had already developed a distinctive style, incorporating poetic inscriptions and delicate famille rose enameling techniques. Very big, very heavy, no clue what they are worth.
