Description

This is one of three old documents. The documents are original one of a kind. I recieved them from his last living direct decendents. He was elected to the supreme court of the state of Flordia in 1912. He was the elected  Attorney and counsler of the supreme court of the united states in 1897. Cooper was a rising star in politics and about to run for senator of Georgia. His fall came when he defended a black man in Georgia against the state. The man was on trial for murder. Cooper unfortinatly lost the case but did get the sentence reduced to life in prison instead of death. Which during this time period was huge. His career unfortunatl went down hill from this point. he lost his running for senate. But contined to practice law until he passed. He was from Macon,  Georgia.  The first document is on the correct time period paper with the state of flordias seal. The document also includes the signatures of James B. Whitfeild cheif justice

R.F. Taylor ,  Thomas M. Shakleford,  Robert S. cockrell, Willam A. Hocker , and M.H. Mabry clerk   I would like to Know the value of the document and will be sending the other two shortly.
