Lots of stamps from all over the world

I have an album full of stamps from all over the world. It was passed down to my daughter from her great grandfather. Who was a photographer in the Korean war that lived in Australia. There are many individual stamps both new and used. I would just like to know if I should get this album valued and insured? I can forward more pics but not sure I should make them public as I really don't want to get inundated with con artists. If anybody is interested they can request to contact me privately please.
