Mammy & Pappy Salt & Pepper Shakers Made In Occupied Japan

By jenvanhecke, 12 May, 2013
Description

Hand Painted Blue Mammy and Pappy Salt and Pepper Shakers Made In Occupied Japan Stamped, they are in excellent condition, no chipping or cracking. Some crazing. Both have corks.

I purchased these because of the "Occupied Japan" Stamp but can't find any information except for those without the stamp. I am trying to get more information and a valuation.

Any information is appreciated.

Re: Mammy & Pappy Salt & Pepper Shakers Made In Occupied Japan

i don't know too much about antiques but i do know that they only made the "occupied in japan" for a short period which makes them less common than just "japan" or "made in japan." they were made around the 40's, other than that i don't really know much. hope that helped a little at least...good luck.

i also have a shaker i can find no info on and no one i've asked has ever seen one. i hope we both get good appraisals!
