Description When this set was purchased, the upholstery was literally in rags. Had pieces recovered. Didn't have any idea about the style of furniture, but just liked it for my livingroom. I decided to try to sell set on Craig's List, but immediately got feedback suggesting that I research more before pricing the items. After further research, the furniture appeared to mission oak from the arts and crafts movement. Because of hardware on sides and underneath, the settee may have had a foldout bed at one time.

Actually the style is Empire Revival, not near as sought after as Craftsman/Mission style sets, these usually date 1910-20. It's definitely nothing like Gus Stickley's stuff other than it's heavy and made of Oak ;~) Here's an example of one at auction.: http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/6163844
