Meriden b company pitcher

Description

looks like a water pitcher, smooth, no carvings. the top is pointy. the handle curves;bottom of handle has heart or upside down spade. finish looks like silver does when it needs cleaned. On bottom it says meriden b company no 1390. can anybody tell me anything and how much its worth?

It's either britannia metal or silver plated, Sterling silver examples would be marked "Sterling" or the numerical equivelent marking "925", sterling being 92.5% pure silver. Plated examples like this one often sell for $75.00 or less at auction.
