Re: Mersman antique table

Tables of this type generally date from the first quarter of the 20th Century, but remained in and out of production following the dictates of fashion for the next 50 years. The style is what's referred to as the 'Colonial Revival style'. The style getting its name because such pieces used stylist motifs found on American Colonial furniture originally made 1620-1780. Value , about $100.00 at auction.

Re: Mersman antique table

HI, An antique normally is something that is 100 years old or older. That idea varies from source to source, some say 50-100 years.

Your side table looks like 1970's and is quite common. Even the early Mersman tables have little collector's value due to their overwhelming availability. The company made tables for 100+ years until 1995.

They made millions of them. During the 100+ year life of the company it churned out over 30 million tables.
