This lamp has an "accurate casting" stamp on the bottom along with the numbers 441811. The base has a metal figurine of Dionysus as an adolecent and I have been unable to find out anything about it. I found it at a thrift store and it had a large metal rim around the top to hold a shade but it was broken so I cut it off. I had it custom painted and did the shade myself. Just my personal taste. Most of the accurate casting lamps I could find have glass globes on top and bottom. Please help! I was told it was made of aluminum, but it seems to heavy. It is approx 14" tall and the base has a diameter of approx 6-8". Any information is greatly appreciated! Thank you.
