Vintage Stone and Resin Carved Mayan Chess Set
Vintage stone and resin carved w/ wood Mayan calendar chess board set from mexico. The board has the Mayan calendar on it, it also has two drawers to store the game pieces on opposite sides. The Chess Set measures 18" x 18" x 4" and weighs 16 lbs. The chess pieces are 4" to 5 1/2" tall. Pieces represent Aztec Mayan vs Conquistador.
Average prices start at $100 and top out at $369 (brand new condition) set
This is all based on my research. I have this exact set as well :)
Re: Mexican Aztec chess set
Also, there should be a head in all four corners facing outwards. It seems by the picture at the top that maybe your set might be missing at least one of them. That would be a shame if the photo is correct. It would devalue the set a bit. But it is a wonderful chess set none the less.
