Milk Bottles, Richmond Dairy Co.

By rnbdudley, 19 December, 2010
Description

Embossed milk bottle from "Richmond Dairy Co."

I am guessing it is from the Richmond, Virginia area, but can't find any info on Richmond Dairy.  Also found milk bottles from Ellerslie Dary Inc/Petersburg, VA in the same pile of bottles.  I can't find any history info on either Dairy.

Would love to know more history of where this bottle came from, it's age and how much it could be worth today.

History
I live in Caroline County, just north of Richmond, VA, and have found many old bottles in piles of trash in the woods at the edge of the fields. Also many civil war relics, old farm equip. etc. found here. My property was part of a large tract of land used for livestock, timber and farming long before this county was first formed in 1728. We are on the North Anna river between where the battles of Jericho Mill and Chesterfield Bridge were fought.
