National School Slate Company Folding Chalk Board

The chalk board is 36" high and, when closed, is approximately 3" deep. The chalk board opens from the top to expose the actual chalk board which is framed with wood and measures 12" deep and 15" wide. At the top of the board on the right side are two knobs which control the scrolling mechanism. On the actual scroll are the ABC's, first in printed capital letters; the next line is printed small letters. The third line lists the ABC's in cursive writing and the fourth line shows numbers. Label reads Nat'l School Slate Company on first line. Center of label reads Natural Slate. Bottom line of label reads Slatington, PA USA.
