Re: ** Need Appraisal Please** Japanese "Made In Japan" Hand ...
Hi! I would like to list this item on ebay if I could get a $ value. I have researched for weeks trying to find this signature marking. There just doesn't seem to be much information. I did read that if the signature was brush stroke it is pre-war dated. My research lead me to Noritake where every artists signature was different, and they often had more than one style. It weighs .55#...
I just read on this site that appraisers might be waiting to be paid so will not help for free. I'm just starting my ebay business and having to part with precious family heirlooms in my house because my husband lost his job. I seriously don't have a dime to my name and I have 2 kids. I do have other items and was hoping to use this site to get some help. I would be more than happy to pay someone in the future on items of value, but I just don't have it right now. I'll take any help I can get.
Thank you!

If you are really interested in Japanese china marks here's the place for you

I don't think this piece is Noritake, but they used a huge number of markings, in their earliest years they exported pieces made under contract for them by other companies as well.
Re: ** Need Appraisal Please** Japanese "Made In Japan" Hand ...
This is a Mt.Fugi Made in Japan mark from the 1940-50's. Company called Yokoi Sei-Ichi Shoten made it they closed in 1942. I have seen similar items on ebay sell for around $20.
