Description
A simple wooden rocking chair evidently produced by Nichols & Stone Co. of Gardner, Mass. It's old, but I don't know the provenance as I got it free through a friend's neighbor. I was going to sell it for $30 but some research hinted that it may be more valuable than that.
Re: Nichols & Stone rocking chair
Your chair is a fairly modern reproduction of a 19th century Windsor Rocking chair. These were made in huge numbers during the 1980's, here's a link to the company website:

Value wise these sell at auction for under $150.00.

Thank you very much for the information, Lovejoy. :)
Re: Nichols & Stone rocking chair
I have a rocker looks exactly like this one except I know it is at least from 1959 because my parents used it to rock me as a newborn! What might the value of such a rocker be. It is is very good condition.
