Description

This piece was purchased by my father in 1968 in Pasadena, Ca.  I inherited it 20 years ago, and have not been able to find anything comparable to it on the internet to learn of it's history.  I was told that it was made in England and was used for a silver service piece and the griffon heads were commonly used for scaring the servants from stealing the silver.  I am not sure of the type of oak it is made of, and it appears there have been veneers added to the surface.  The brass was probably added by my mother in the 70's.
