Oil Painting by George Whitman

Description

It is approx 64cm (26 inches) high and 94cm (37 inches) wide and is in excellent condition.
The painting is a winter landscape, featuring a yellow sky over a snow capped mountain.
There is a small stream in the foreground lined with snow-covered wispy trees.
The right had side of the painting has trees closer to the front, while there are green trees in the middle back section.
The painting has been signed G WhiTman, with the distinctive capital T.
There is a sun reflection in the stream in the centre foreground.
It is a bright, airy painting which has been passed down to us.
