Description

I am trying to find out the artist of this painting.  The name/signature on the painting is "Morris".   It is in an old Anco Bilt frame.  I sent this to ship painter Roger Morris and he said it was an excellent painting, but not one of his.  He said he'd liken after an American painter, Charles R. Patterson.

Any information would be helpful.

I would like to know who the artist is.  If I had to guess, I would estimate the painting to be at least 50 years old.  The canvas isn't a normal canvas as on the back it is somewhat "hairy " or woolly.
