Old doll

Looking to find out if anybody has an information regarding a doll I've recently come into possesion of.

The doll was acquired from a store in Mount Pleasant, SC, right outside of Charleston, SC. The doll has a thick material that looks to be hand painted on. The joints are constructed with wire pins. The hair looks to be just made from yarn or something similar. The clothing is fastened on my flat headed pins. From what I could see there are no markings indicating the year of production or manufacturer. I didn't the clothes off the doll in fear of damaging it so I'm not entirely sure if there are markings or not.
