Old Hall E'Ware Co. Farm pieces

I recently acquired several pieces from my mother-in-law after her passing. I have not been able to find any pieces with the amount of gold trim as these pieces so was wondering if maybe the gold was painted on at a later date.  I understand that these pieces were what was left when my husbands great grandfather and his family came over from Wales.
