Re: old train cars
History:
These antique toys were produced by American Flyer, a toy brand who produced model trains from 1907-1938. You have a 1107 model train cars, made in the Chicago Era of the toy company during World War 1.
Value:
The value of these train cars can vary. Train engines produced by American Flyer are actually worth quite a bit. Train cars are sought after but have a dip in value, being valued at about $60-$75 depending on the condition.
Value of Your Items:
The American Flyer train cars appear to be rough shape. The tin cars show wear and a little rust. The cars are still woth about $40 a piece to the right buyer.
Market:
The market on American Flyers is on the slight decline at the moment. I'd reccomend waiting for the market to rise before banking on them, if that is what you plan to do.
Recent Selling Prices:
The recent selling prices on the Model 1107 and the mail car is $35.67 a piece, right around the value price.
If I was any help, I would greatly appreciate if you could accept the comment!
Re: old train cars
what is my next best step to sell these items? thank You for your help.
Re: old train cars
Again, I'd suggest selling them on an online auction site like eBay to get collectors looking at it. I have had great past selling vintage toys on eBay.
