outdoor scene of a river Gorge

.....I would like to know two things, who painted it, an where is this  place , the initials H.J.M., was found on the frame on the back,now i don't know if this is the artist initials, or the last person who owned the pieceIf anyone can tell me anything about this piece i would be eternally greatful.
