This painting was given to my mother from a friend over 25 years ago. My mother was helping her friend clean out her parents home after they passed away. The painting had been given to her father who was a soldier who helped storm the beaches at Normandy. The painting was given to her father as a token of gratitude by a local. It is unknown if the person that gave him the painting was the actual artist. The painting is not signed. It was painted on a wood panel roughly the size of a sheet of printer paper. If anyone has any idea of who the artist could possibly be would be greatly appreciated.
