AI Appraisal
Description
This was left to me from estate of a dear friend. He traveled to India, Nepal, Tibet, etc. in the 1970's - 1980's. This piece is embroidered (?) and measures 28" x 29". The body of the work is in excellent condition, with no moth or other damage. The edges are frayed, but I believe this may have been the way the piece was created. I believe it is from Kohistani area based on Google Lens search.

Physical Description: This textile measures approximately 28 inches by 29 inches and features vibrant embroidery on a black background. The intricate designs include geometric patterns and floral motifs, showcasing a rich color palette of reds, greens, blues, and pinks. The edges are frayed, which may be a characteristic of its original creation rather than damage. The textile appears to be made from a durable fabric, likely wool or a wool blend, typical of traditional Kohistani textiles.
