Pelbam

Another painting my husband bought at a garage sale for $5. He bought this because it look like the sea captain from SpongeBob SquarePants, and wanted to cut a hole in his mouth like they do in SpongeBob SquarePants. I told him not to do it until I found out if this what might be worth something. I it's a real David Pelbam it could have value but I've read there are fake ones out there. Do I have a real one, what's it worth?
