Pianos Daude

By -midnight-l-shadow-, 10 March, 2009
Description

I read up about the origin of this poster. There was an original poster that was created to advertise the companies first store. The author is Andre Daude also the founder of that store. I believe that poster is going for around $8,500. Then they made a poster for their second location. Now i havn't been able to find the original for that store online at all. So this could be the original for their other store. He is currently reproducing his old posters with new ones, but looking at the texture right now i would have to say its at least 50 yrs +. I also concluded that this posters size differs then the sizes of his new replica's. The new versions have a deminsion of 47" x 63" While the one i have is
46.25" x 61.75". These posters also originated from Paris France and both stores were pretty close to each other. The second store opened a few years after the first.

Re: Pianos Daude

This is the second printing done in about 1980. The phone number on the poster is a modern seven digit phone number. The poster usually sells for about $500 - $600 mounted on linen.

Re: Pianos Daude

For your information, I have a dress made by Jams World with the "Daude Piano" print on it. It will be put up for auction on eBay on April 5. I know this is not the information you were looking for - but, your information was helpful to me. I thank you. Good luck with your endeavor. It is a beautiful print! JB

I happen to have this poster…

I happen to have this poster too. It was professionally framed when I purchased it in 1999. Happy to share photos with anyone interested. I live in the SF Bay Area and would need to sell it to someone local since it is framed.
