Re: reverse painted lamp

Have you checked the whole lamp/looked under the edge of the shade and base with a bright light and a magnifying glass for a signature or mark?
If so did you find anything?

Metal overlay lamps of this type were made by a large number of companies, most of which have not been researched. The daisy patern on yours is unusual, I've only seen one like it . Values for the unmarked lamps range anywhere from $400.00- $1500.00 at auction, The one that matched yours sold for $550.00 at auction in 2005.
