Re: Signed oil painting

I found a few signed Mitchell, also G.K. Mitchell that I think may be the same painter. They range from unsold at $50 to sold for $130. Here are some links to those. https://picclick.com/Vintage-Cabin-In-The-Woods-Mountains-Oil-332815723…
https://www.ebay.com/itm/333835163393?nma=true&si=H%252B4m6b1VENVjImEQp…
This one’s currently being sold on eBay so might be worth following https://www.ebay.com/itm/351625402968
And this one for sell on Etsy https://www.etsy.com/listing/526561862/vintage-g-k-mitchell-oil-paintin…
From JustAnswers “Your vintage original landscape painting dates to the 3rd quarter of the 20th century, 1950’s - 1970’s.
Even though signed Mitchell, it is by what is known as an unlisted artist, meaning one that does not sell at auction for fine art collector and investor purposes, but a painting that is more intended for decorative framed original wall art for the home, hotel or lobby setting. Oftentimes, the artist’s name that is on the painting is fictitious and they painted in factory settings in Mexico and China. They were sold in decorator shops, furniture show room stores and department store furniture sections.
This particular large size is referred to as a ‘sofa’ or ‘couch’ painting, as it would be a elegant wall statement above a new sofa. The type of mountain peak in alpine setting are called Mount Shasta scenes.
Your vintage framed oil painting can sell for as high as $200 - $350 on today’s market. They do get offered for higher on online auction sites, but the realistic sales prices are lower than asking price. The suggested insurance, or replacement value is $425.” https://www.justanswer.com/antiques/91flv-beautiful-landscape-signed-pa… I would agree with that except for value. I would think a range of $50 - $100 would be more reasonable though that one on eBay did sell for $130.
