Silver Tea Service

By luckythree, 28 August, 2011
Description

There is a teapot, coffee pot, sugar and creamer, waterpot, and warmer. They have scalloped edges on top with black handles and knobs on the lids. I think the black might be ebony. From what I am told, all work was done by hand.

They sit on a Sheffield tray approximately 18" X 30", oval shaped.

Re: Silver Tea Service

There is currently a glut on the market for silver plated tea sets, a result of the Baby Boomers selling off their parents possesions to clear their estates, but the nicer ones like this generally still sell for just under $400.00.

Re: Silver Tea Service

This set is unfortunately not silver, but silver PLATED. That means there's no precious metal there, just copper with a silver plate. About 1950's-1960's. Worth under $50
