Re: Singer Treadle Sewing Machine

There is not much demand for older sewing machines, the newer computer driven models make everything made pre 1990 obsolete. In the current marked most used domestic cabinet based machines sell for under $200.00 at auction.

Re: Singer Treadle Sewing Machine

I disagree.  It looks like its in wonderful condition. Its a beautiful antique. The fancy smancy computer driven things are nice but there is nothing like the sound of a tredal maching rocking and rolling while you put a quilt together

Re: Singer Treadle Sewing Machine

.Ask any Antique Dealer, demand for these Old treadles is almost none existant . It doesn't matter if something is an antique or that it's in good condition if there is no demand. These Singers are not rare or valuable, they were mass produced in the millions during the last quarter of the 19th to the 1930's, and survive in huge numbers in attics, basements and barns all over North America.
