Re: truck
History:
It is hard to give any history on the item with no brand or manufacturer marks. Judging by the pictures, the toy truck appears to be made of cast iron. Cast Iron was popular in toys around the turn of the 20th century so I'd estimate that the truck came from the 1920s though it could have been earlier. Most of these early cast iron toys were made by hand after the artisan would carve the mold of wood and then hammered the mold into metal.
Value of Antique Cast Iron Toys:
The value of early cast iron toys can vary greatly. Brand names can reach hundreds of dollars but with no manufacturer's mark, the antique toys usually come to a value of $30
Value of Your Item:
The truck you have appears to be in rough condition and without any markings, the value is about $20.
Market:
The market for antique cast iron toys is on the rise though without a manufacturer mark, the item may sit on the market for some time.
Recently Sold Prices:
Items like this, have sold for about a price of $17.53
If I was any help. I'd greatly appreciate for you to accept my comment! Thanks!
Re: truck
Samstopp, I will look at the truck more to see if there are any markings. thanks for your time. if I want to sell what would my next step be?
Re: truck
I would suggest uploading and selling it on an auction site like eBay. On eBay, you will get a wide range of collectors looking at your item. If you sell it to a retail store or to a toy shop, you will get less money.
