Origins - India Wood Fabric Printing Block ...

Wood fabric block printing had originated way before the birth of Christ. It was a slow process used to transfer the medium onto fabric. This piece has what I believe as an Indian style. These blocks have been used all over the world. There are still pieces like these produced today.

Est Circa: 1920 - 1930's

Est Value: $30 - $65 US ... based on market demand and placement.  this piece is not as fancy of many of them from this period but it is one of a kind.

Please leave me some feedback on my valuation in a reply.

Thanks for sharing ... very cool piece  ....

Peace Always

Sorry the 3 holes in the back is where the handle was originally mounted ...This probably ran the length of the block to apply even pressure when doing the transfer. I forgot to state this earlier. Warmest Regards TJG
