William IV circa 1800's rosewood table

By Breannareish, 20 January, 2013
Description

This table needs some shining up but it is old after all. I purchased this yesterday at an auction to use as my dining table until I did some research. I was blown away by my find and how little it cost me. One problem the claw feet have been removed so I have no idea what it may be worth. I really wish I could find a set of feet but that would be a miracle. It is a tilt top table which adds a neat touch. Everything else is in tact on the table.

Re: William IV circa 1800's rosewood table

I have found a listing for this exact table but with the feet for $6200 on eBay. I am looking for pointers about something that is missing the feet. Just wondering if someone can help me with a value for something like this. Thanks!!

Sometimes a venue like an auction that normally does not carry items like this will sell things far below what they would go mfor in a well publicized aution where furniture of this type and vintage would sell. here is a link for you to see what tables like this normally go for at auction.

Thank you very much for the link. Do you happen to know how much te value you drop from having the original claw feet missing. I guess that's my main concern. I have found values for what in tact pieces are listed but mine is a tad different because the feet were removed :(. I will check out that link when I get on my desktop today. Thanks again!!!
