W.W. Winship wardrobe steamer trunk

By arclake, 10 March, 2023
Description

I purchased this old steamer trunk at a rummage sale simply because it intrigued me. It had no key, and all of the latches and locks were intact. Of course, I was liking the idea of a potential treasure hidden inside the trunk, but after locating a correct original key, I did confirm that there was no hidden treasure. There were two light blue possible infant garments with embroidered logos, but that's all. I'd love to see if you can shed any light on this trunk as far as history, age, or value. It is a W.W. Winship steamer trunk that I am assuming is from 1900-1935? It is approximately 40x21x22 inches. It will be for sale, but I just want to know as much about it as I can prior to offering it for sale. Thank you in advance. I am located near Milwaukee WI.
