Oil paintings usually require a physical examination to determine their origins and vintage. As far as the Artist is concerned, most I've seen with just a last name without an initial are 20th Century decorator pieces.
I have a big painting very nice! Looks old. Looks oiled based has beautiful ocean with a huge sail boat. The name signed is Anderson? (ring a bell at all) I can actually feel the lettering of his name in the painting.
Re: Do you think my painting is antique?
