Description
Old painting that I inherited from my father who lived in Paris during the early 1900’s and up until late 1940’s. The signature appears to show “Pevier” “Revier” or something similar.

“Pevier” “Revier” or something similar for the signature.
If I can just decipher the artist’s name then I think it will be easier to figure out the history and value of this painting. Hard to tell if first letter is a “P” or “R” and what the two last letters are. Thanks for any help.
Paintings like this tend to be Decorator pieces that were sold at "Starving Artist" type sales at hotel conference centers and department stores in North America. In Europe they were often sold to tourists by street Artists and in open Air markets. The name on them is often a pseudonym, the artist producing several similar paintings selling them either wholesale to Art Dealers or through local markets. Most tend to sell for under $150.00 at auction.
