5 chairs. 2 with arms and 3 that are armless. all chairs have the tags intact and in good condition. 

 

The Hoover Chair Company manufactured furniture from its headquarters in Lexington, North Carolina throughout the twentieth century. The company went out of business in 1968, and its manufacturing facility was later gutted by a fire in 1972. The manufacturing facility had been purchased by the Burlington House Furniture Company. 

are these a great piece of Americana from a company that no longer exists?

 

good condition, not much grime or dirt and slightly loose arm on the one of the chairs.

They are loosely based on Danish Modern Furniture from Scandanavian countries, most chairs like this date from the 1950's through 60's. At auction comparable American chairs sell for about $40.00 each.
