Unmarked thick, heavy, lead crystal footed bowls set

Profile picture for user Dee_Rikard

Description

I have a set of, what I was told to be, lead crystal bowls- 2 serving bowls (I believe), one is round (approx. 6 inches in diameter), the other is oval (approx 8 inches long and 6 inches wide) and 5 smaller bowls (approx. 4 inches in diameter). Thick and heavy in weight. I'm not familiar with glass pattern lingo so my description probably isn't close but, the glass has a zig zag pattern band around the upper part of the bowls. In every other zag it looks like a pine cone. The zigs are flowers. Under the zig zag pattern there are large flowers with a star in the center that go around the bowls. In the very bottom of each bowl is another star. In the round bowl and 5 smaller bowls its a 6 pointed star with bursts around it. In the oval it is an 8 pointed star with bursts. I have photos I've uploaded of the bowls. In the pic of the oval bowl, you can see a crack that circles around. It was like that when given to me. Other than that, all pieces are perfect.

History
These bowls were given to me by a co-worker of my husband. He bought a container at an estate sale. Inside the container he found 40 year old china along with these bowls and some other glassware. I'm assuming all the pieces are somewhat dated due to the age of the china. He had no other information on location, age, etc and has since moved away.
