Vintage Childs Wagon

By John H, 11 March, 2015
Description

I have this wagon or Cart that I can find very little about so I am assuming it is rare. It is called a Kari Kart. The label reads as follows:

KARI KART (with a picture of a baby's head between the words)

trade mark

Patents Pending

Manufactured by U.S Hame Company Buffalo, New York.

I found this..... U S Hame company was in business from 1902 thru 1917 so the stroller was made sometime in there. The Hame company made horse collars, saddles and hames (the curved pieces on a horse collar) as well as other carriage hardware. The company became USHCO Mfg Co in 1917 and started making chassis for Ford and Chevy trucks.

My questions are: Why did they make the Kari Kart in the first place? Was it advertisement? What is the value of such a thing?

It folds up into a small suitcase then expands to a cart with wheels and a handle that a child could sit in and be pulled around.

In Info would be appreciated.....
