The signature is that of Francis Jaques 'F. Jaques.'
I believe this canvas art is called "The Canvasback Duck.
The frame looks hand made. I bought this at vintage store in town with no information. Someone has tried to take the canvas out. I'm confused because most of his work seems like, brightly colored paintings or pencil drawings. This particular piece doesn't seem colorful. Mostly, yellows and browns. Any idea if this could be something of value or a real piece of art by Jaques?
