slant cover is made of wood boards - vertical grain on sides with rabbet joint. center is solid wood piece. drawers all have locking mech.simple brass handles on drawers also. the only hardware that is missing is the metal piece around the lock on the cover. desk is simple but solid than most i can find online. wondering if it is early 1900s or earlier. I paid 340. for it- but sale was asking 595. so whats it really worth and wondering how old it is? thanks!
