I am trying to find out the value and information on this piece of cameo pendant set in 14k gold. My knowledge of this piece is zero. Additional info would be appreciated. Thanks!
I inherited an extensive collection of RED GEISHA Porcelain pieces; 8 different yet similar scenic distinctions of tea sets and chocolate pot sets, (pots, cups and saucers.) I have already verified that they are not reproductions.
And there is additionally, one piece in particular that is distinctive; much older and with Japanese markings. I believe it has a higher value, I just don't know what that is, so any assistance to the value of this extensive collection would be welcome, as I am seeking to sell it.
Carved wooden Image of a bearded man with long hair wearing what appears to be a stylised crown. the style is reminiscent of a chess piece. Around the base are four images, two of a right facing eagle and two of a four-winged butterfly-like flying creature. Around his neck is a cross of simple design.
30" high, 52 diameter across the base.
No value or provenance provided as we will likely keep this (unless it turns out to be hugely valuable, of course) but it would be most interesting to understand what he is.
