Chair

Category
American Furniture
Description

I have a chair that I acquired.  It is a formal chair with tapered legs. The seat is made up of wooden slats and the chair cack is straight with a fan in dowels. Above the fan is a carving looks like swags. The joints are hard to see someone painted it many years ago and the person who had it before me started to strip it.

Blackamoor Nubian Torchier

Category
Lamps and Chandeliers
Condition
Good
Description

.

I have no words for this!! Haha! I will let the picture do the talking here except to say that it seems to be made of either plastic or some sort of resin or even paper mache. The pants are real fabric that has, perhaps, been dipped in polyurethane or varnish to remain stiff. It looks very old but the wooden platform he is standing on does have some plywood components to it.

Howard Miller Grandfather Clock 610-109

Category
Clocks
Condition
Excellent
Description

Hi guys,

I saw that someone else asked about the same clock in 2010. I didn't see any answers to their question. I'm not sure if those are sent privately?

Anyway, I have a Howard Miller granfather clock. And I'm trying to find either the current value OR the original price and I can figure out the depreciation.

It is model 610-109 and it seems to be in perfect condition.

Thanks in advance....

Walt

Barnum and bailey

Category
Decorative Arts
Condition
Excellent
Description

Barnum and bailey circus prints. I was told they were originals indicated by printing on the back. We had them framed years ago and Im guessing the only way to go about finding out is if we open up the frames. Should I take them to a professional or do it ourselves. Any help would be great!
