From what little Info I could find on this chess set, I found out it is a Kingsway (stamped on all pieces) Florentine edition dated roughly around 1947. A local antique dealer could verify the circa but not an appraisal for she has been out of the business for quite some time.
All the pieces are here and still in great condition, board also included (yellow/brown wood looking pattern). The case is divided and closes with two snaps. No writing is on the case and the binding is poor conditioned.
This was given by a neighbor while cleaning out her house, she had nothing about it or where it came from besides that it has been a 'dust collector' for a very long time. I am curious on any information or possible value of this gift.
