Description

George H. Story was a portrait painter in New York active in the late 19th century. He

became the curator of painting at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. His work is in the

Smithsonian and Metropolitan Museum of Art among other collections. Information

about the sitter in this portrait would be greatly appreciated
