Antique Altar Cabinet

Hello, first of all I apologize for not having used a more appropriate name for the item in the

description, but I couldn't come up with it.

It is a larger than what it looks on the photo piece of furniture which I think was used by

clergymen to perform religious (probably private) functions.

I am guessing it is from the 19th century or earlier and I would appreciate if somebody could

give me an idea of its value and/or history.
